Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said that he is keen on signing Barcelona £95million winger Ousmane Dembele this summer transfer window.
Injury setback
The winger only joined the Catalan club last summer transfer window when he was signed for £135million, as Neymar Jr’s replacement.
However, a severe injury early on in his Barcelona career wrecked the players chances of making an immediate impression at the club and his form has been bad as a result since.
It is also suggested that the 20-year-old has failed to properly settle in the club and is already considering his options with a thought to quitting the Spanish club.
Now I am interested
And when Jurgen Klopp was questioned if he wants to sign the France international attacker, the tactician said: “Is he on the (transfer) market? Now I am interested.”
The potential signing of Dembele would surely give Liverpool another option in attack but this will come with a caveat.
The winger has completed just a league game this campaign and has netted only one Spanish La Liga goal.
Barcelona are looking to replace the youngster with his international colleague Antoine Griezmann.
The Reds will this month lock horns with La Liga giants Real Madrid in the final of the UEFA Champions League
