Liverpool face Leicester City at Anfield on Wednesday and the Reds faithfuls are expecting nothing short of victory against the Foxes.

As much as the Merseyside side fans are very optimistic about their chances of picking maximum points, they should be worried about the increasing number of injuries rocking the team.

Alexander-Arnold and Gomez have been long-term absentees, hence, there is no need to worry about them because Klopp has managed to find a perfect way to do without both impressive youngsters.

The recent and greatest injury concern to the Reds is the one picked up by ever-reliable centre-back Virgil Van Dijk, who wasn’t seen with the rest of the team during their training session on Monday.

The Dutchman has been complaining of minor constraints for some time now but Klopp continues to deploy him at the heart of the defence.

To worsen matters, the former Southampton man was sick during the team’s trip to Dubai last week and he hasn’t fully recovered from the illness.

According to Liverpool Echo, the star hasn’t completed a training session since last week, meaning, he is likely to be on the bench when the Merseyside club tackle the King Power outfits later tomorrow.

The Merseyside media outlet further revealed that a last-minute fitness test will be carried out by the Reds medical department to know whether the Dutchman will play a role against Leicester or not.

A win will be very important to the team home side because three points will play a huge part in the race for the Premier League trophy.
