Naby Keita

Liverpool will be travelling to Huddersfield this weekend in the English Premier League.

However, the Reds will likely play without some of their top players, one of which is Naby Keita, who just joined the list of Liverpool’s injured players.

Naby Keita was on international duty for his home country, Guinea on Monday in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers match against Rwanda which ended in a 1 – 1 draw.

However, the Reds midfielder suffered a hamstring injury during the match and has returned to England.

But a report from Liverpool have disclosed that the Reds are awaiting the scan result that will determine how long Naby Keita will be out of the team.

The report added that the scan result will be out on Thursday and there are already indications that the Guinea star will not play for Liverpool in the weekend game against Huddersfield.

Coach Jurgen Klopp is likely to start the trio of Gini Wijnadum, Jordan Henderson and James Milner (who is regaining his form following a recent injury before the international break).

Another report made it known that Liverpool centre-back, Virgil van Dijk is back to training and is likely to play.

Sadio Mane is expected to play but the same can’t be said about Mo Salah.
