Liverpool have officially signed Xherdan Shaqiri from Stoke City.
Although Liverpool are yet to make an official announcement, the Swiss football team took to social media to announce that Xherdan had passed his medical with the Merseysiders and have put pen on paper for a long-term deal with the reds.
The Switzerland international is believed to be currently in Merseyside to seal a move to the club, but Jurgen Klopp’s side are yet to say something about it.
The talented winger went for vacation immediately after his country were eliminated from the World Cup, but he has cut short his holiday for a medical with Liverpool.
Switzerland have made it known that Shaqiri is now officially a Liverpool player. And although they might be berated for taking things too fast, the fans are excited about the update.
Shaqiri was impressive at Stoke City last season, but he chose to dump the club after they failed to avoid relegation to the Championship.
Liverpool have reportedly triggered the release clause in his contract at Stoke and have made him one of their own.
Although he has one of the best attacks right now in the premier league, manager Jurgen Klopp is keen on adding more quality to his squad to challenge Manchester City for the premier league trophy next season.
