Apart from Kylian Mbappe, another Monaco star player that has emerged as a target for Arsenal this summer is Thomas Lemar.

In a new development, there are reports that the North London club are confident they will announce the signing of Lemar next week.

Thomas Lemar has been linked with a move to the English top flight for several weeks, attracting interest from top clubs after a superb campaign for the French club’s young team.

According to the Daily Mail, even though the Ligue I champions value the player at around £30million, Arsene Wenger’s side are ready to meet that figure.

The Gunners French boss is planning a dramatic revamp of his squad this summer and sees Thomas as the perfect addition to his attack.

The talented player made 55 appearances for Monaco last term, scored 14 goals and provided 17 assists in all competitions to help his side lift the Ligue 1 title and made it to the semi-final of the Champions League.

It is understood that Arsenal have opened talks with the French champions already and do not see any serious hindrance as negotiations are moving with ease.

Arsenal have already announced one summer signing with the arrival of defender Sead Kolasinac from Schalke on a free transfer.
