Chelsea suffer massive transfer blow in pursuit of Edinson Cavani
As reported by Don Balon, Paris Saint Germain are set to offer Edinson Cavani to Spanish La Liga giant Atletico Madrid as a swap move for Frenchman Antoine Griezmann.
As Paris Saint Germain look to improve their front line even more, they are ready to make a swap deal with Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid to bring in France international forward Griezmann in exchange for Edinson Cavani, meaning Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United will lose out on their long-term chase of Antonie Griezmann and Chelsea’s transfer for Edinson Cavani.
Edinson Cavani was strongly linked with Premier League Champions Chelsea after his confrontation with Brazil international forward Neymar Jr, but their hopes are now slim.
Paris Saint Germain have tried to bring in Griezmann before and Atletico boss, Diego Simeone is a big fan of Edinson Cavani, who has netted 19 goals in as many matches this season.
Antonie Griezmann has had a contrasting League season from Edinson Cavani, as the France international forward has only netted three goals as he has failed to regain his brilliant goal-scoring form in recent seasons.
However, there is no doubt about the fact that a front three of teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe, Frenchman Griezmann and Brazilian Neymar Jr. would be incredibly deadly against backlines across Europe.
