Turkish Heavyweights Set For Deal For Chelsea Duo Before Close Of Turkish Window

During the past transfer window, Chelsea were trying to offload some of their stars either on loan or permanently, but some deals won’t sail through successfully.

The duo of Baba Rahman and Kenedy were very much linked with moves away from Chelsea during the window, but nothing could happen before the deadline.

Versatile left-winger Kenedy was sent home from the Blues pre-season tour of the Far East after making inappropriate comments on social media about China which generated some issues that forced Chelsea to quickly issue an apology.

The samba star was touted for a loan move to Newcastle, but it is understood that Chelsea paused his move after Antonio Conte missed out on potential replacements including Antonio Candreva.

Talented left-back Baba Rahman, on the other hand, spent last term on loan with Bundesliga outfit Schalke but suffered an unpleasant knee injury in January while representing his country at the African cup of Nations.

The injury ended his period, but the German club are still interested in bringing him back to Germany for a second loan spell. However, they eventually back out of a potential loan deal due to concerns over his fitness.

And Turkish outlet Fanatik claimed that since the Turkish transfer window won’t close until Friday, Galatasaray are interested in both stars and are ready to sign one of them on loan.

It was added that Baba is the preferred target of the two, but the Turkish heavyweights will pursue Kenedy should they fail to secure the Ghanaian’s signature.
