Former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has advised the club’s current Italian manager on the need to buy a lot of players this summer in preparation for their return to the Champions League.
Chelsea current boss Antonio Conte came to Stamford Bridge last summer and helped win the premier league title in his first campaign at the club and in England, thanks to his superb tactics.
The west London club will compete in the Champions League in the upcoming term after missing out on it last time.
And current Bayern Munich boss Carlos Ancelotti has warned the Italian about the necessity of bringing in new legs into his squad this summer.
‘[Conte] will be forced to change something, as he won the Premier League using practically the same players all the time. In the Champions League, he will need to buy a lot and buy well.’ he said.
Ancelotti spent two seasons at Chelsea and helped win the premier league title and the FA Cup in his first season at the club. However, he was asked to leave before his third year at Stamford Bridge, just like many Chelsea coaches before him – and Antonio Conte is the new man right now.
Already, the former Juventus boss has admitted he needs to bring in new legs this summer and is understood to be displeased with Chelsea’s lack of progress in the market.
