Alvaro Morata

Barcelona have reportedly joined Sevilla and Atletico Madrid in the race for Chelsea’s Underwhelming striker Alvaro Morata.

The Catalans are said to be in need of a center-forward who will feature alongside Luis Suarez at the final half of the pitch.

There was a shocking rumor that Ernesto Valverde is eyeing former Granada and Watford striker Odion Ighalo who is a free agent having terminated his contract with relegated Chinese Super League side Chanchun Yatai.

However, the reports linking the Catalans with the Nigerian star has turned out to be a mere rumor because the latest rumor suggests the La Liga Champions have developed interests in the former Real Madrid attacker.

Sevilla and Atletico Madrid are also believed to be in the race for the 26-year-old striker whose spell at Stamford Bridge has been one to forget.

The Spanish international has failed to hit the ground running since his switch to West London two years ago and he’s set to rejuvenate his career by heading back to his home country.

Spanish media El Gol Digital claimed that the former Juventus man is in talks with Diego Simeone’s side ahead of a possible move to the Spanish Capital before the end of the season.

A move to Atletico Madrid will see Morata face his former club Real Madrid who sanctioned his move to the Blues after falling out of favor with former manager Zinedine Zidane.

Meanwhile, the Blues are yet to find his replacement as Juventus are unwilling to let go of their experience goalscorer Gonzalo Higuain, while Bournemouth are equally reluctant to release Callum Wilson this month.
