Five-time European champions Liverpool have come under heavy criticism from Premier League legend Tim Sherwood for their massive error of transfer judgment during the just concluded winter transfer window.
Former Premier League midfielder Sherwood was at a loss on why the Reds allowed England international right-back Nathaniel Clyne to join South Coast club Bournemouth last month.
Clyne signed for the Cherries on loan until the end of this season after making just three Premier League starts since the start of last season.
The 27-year-old fell out of favour with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp following the emergence of both Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold as well as various injury problems.
Both Joe Gomez and Alexander-Arnold are presently nursing different injuries.
According to ex-Blackburn Rovers and Tottenham Hotspur star Sherwood, it was a massive mistake on the part of Klopp to let Nathaniel Clyne join fellow Premier League side Bournemouth and that it could play a big part in their quest to win the league title.
Tim Sherwood spoke about Liverpool, Nathaniel Clyne and transfers while he was on Sky Sports.
Liverpool lost top spot on the Premier League table via goal difference on Wednesday night after title challengers and defending champions Manchester City defeated Merseyside rivals Everton 2-0 away from home.
Both teams have the same point though Liverpool have played a game more than their rivals.
