Rangers manager Steven Gerrard is plotting a loan move for Liverpool goalkeeper Kamil Grabara in the current transfer window.

This is according to the report from the popular English media portal Daily Express.

The former Liverpool captain has led Scottish Premiership giants Rangers to join the top alongside champions Celtic and he’s keen to boost his squad with the addition of the young goalkeeper despite the fact that he has four goalkeepers at his disposal.

Former Hull City shot stopper Allan McGregor has been the first choice recipient at Rangers this season.

Kamil Grabara is no stranger to Steven Gerrard having played for him while he was handling the Liverpool youth teams.

The 19-year-old is a long way off making his first team debut for the Reds due to the presence of goalkeepers Alisson Becker and Simon Mignolet.

He could benefit from a loan spell away from the club with Steven Gerrard and Rangers interested in a loan move for him.

The loan transfer can be made permanent if he goes on to impress Rangers officials.

Steven Gerrard and Rangers have already strengthened their squad with the imminent arrival of experienced goalscorer Jermaine Defoe who’s certain to score goals for Rangers in their quest to wrestle the league title from the grasp of rivals Celtic.
