The Manchester Evening News is claiming that Man United are tracking a couple of top quality defenders this summer window as Jose Mourinho looks to strengthen his options in defence.
As well as Tottenham Hotspurs defender Toby Alderweireld, the Red Devils are keeping close tabs on Real Madrid and France defender Raphael Varane, Kalidou Koulibaly, Jerome Boateng, Milan Skriniar, Jose Gimenez Alessio Romagnoli and Caglar Soyuncu this summer window.

United are believed to be in the transfer market for a fresh defender this summer transfer window as Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho looks to strengthen his defence ahead of his third campaign in charge at the club.
The same report states that it is the Red Devils plan to land a fresh centre-half this summer window, and the new recruit will not really mean that they will offload one of their present defenders.
Man United have already brought in two new players this summer window after having sealed deals to land both Diogo Dalot and Brazil midfielder Fred last week.
