Former Liverpool manager has revealed that Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly would be an instant hit in the Premier League if he were to make a move to the English top flight.
Kalidou Koulibaly is a target for some of the big Premier League teams.
The Senegalese international defender has been touted as a major transfer target for both Chelsea and Manchester United.
He was recently part of the 23-man squad that represented Senegal at this summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
Koulibaly and Senegal were eliminated from the tournament in the group stage.
They finished outside the top two of Group H via an inferior disciplinary record to Japan who finished in second place.
Kalidou Koulibaly is no stranger to Rafael Benitez who’s now the Newcastle United boss.
He featured for Napoli under his watch for one season before the Spanish tactician left the club in 2015.
Benitez praised the quality of the Senegalese centre back and how it would be easy for him to adapt to the Premier League in one of his recent interviews.
It was reported over the weekend that Napoli are holding out for a world record transfer fee of £90m for their prized asset having already rejected around £77m from Manchester United.
