According to reports, La Liga giants Real Madrid have entered the race to sign Liverpool midfielder Emre Can.
Can heavily linked with Serie A move
Emre Can has been linked heavily with a transfer to Serie A giants Juventus with his deal at Merseyside club Liverpool set to run out at the end of the campaign.
However, Italian publication CalcioMercato have suggested that the attacking midfielder and his agents are reluctant to continue negotiations with Serie A champions Juventus into advanced stages following apparent interest from Champions League holders Real Madrid.
Wherever the midfielder eventually ends up next term will be a major blow to the Merseyside club if it is not Anfield Stadium.
The Germany international midfielder has emerged as an influential part of the manager’s plans at the club and has become a regular figure on Jurgen Klopp’s line up every weekend.
Real Madrid keen on Superstar
The story that Real Madrid are interested in the Liverpool man surely contradict claims from earlier in the week.
A separate story from CalcioMercato earlier in the week stated that the midfielder had already agreed wages with the Serie A champions, although the transfer deal now looks uncertain.
Real Madrid have performed below expectation domestically this campaign and have been far adrift La Liga leaders FC Barcelona from the beginning of the League season.
