As per a report in the Daily Mail, Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda has told the club he wants to leave in the New Year and the gunners are prepared to launch a formal offer for his signature.
Charly Musonda joined the Blues youth ranks back in 2015 following ten years with Belgian side Anderlecht and is regarded as one of the most talented players at Stamford Bridge.
However, the 21-year-old forward has struggled to make the first team set-up and has played just four matches in all competitions this term – including two in the Carabao Cup.
The Belgium U-21 international decided against a loan switch in the summer as he wanted to remain and fight for his first team place but he just has not been handed the chance by manager Antonio Conte.
It seems Musonda has lost patience as Daily Mail are quoting reports emanating from France that claim the forward has told the Blues he won’t be signing a new contract and want’s to leave in January.
He has less than two seasons remaining on his current contract so the blues will be forced to sell either in the New year or next summer, or have to lose him for nothing in 2019.
The contract situation has alerted the gunners as the report states that we’re leading the race for the wonderkid’s signature and French tactician Arsene Wenger will launch a swoop this winter.
