Arsenal manager Unai Emery has given a good news about club captain Laurent Koscielny who has been injured and has yet to see any game under the new manager.

The French man who has been away as a result of the Achilles tendon injury he sustained last season is reported to be back in full training by the Spanish manager.

Emery who noted the player’s importance to the team said he has been missed as the captain and will be joining the team in full training.

However, the former PSG boss added that the Koscielny will not be available for selection at the moment as it will take him up a month to help him recover fully.

Emery therefore urged the players to help the Frenchman regain his confidence by drawing him closer because of the nature of the injury he had sustained.

However, the manager is expected to monitor Koscielny’s progress to ascertain when he will be available for competitive games.

Meanwhile, Koscielny will return to fight for a starting place in Emery’s team as the manager has made it clear that selection will be based on the performance of players.

Arsenal are in good form at the moment with 9 games winning streak and are sitting fourth in the Premier league table.
