Arsenal teenage sensation Eddie Nketiah has apologised to teammate Joe Willock for pushing him out of the way while celebrating his first Arsenal goal of his two goals at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.
The young striker was called upon in the closing stages of the League Cup match against Norwich City, with the guests leading 1-0 and heading for the rest round – quarter-finals. But in just 15 seconds the young senstation has equalized, however, netting on his home debut with his first touch of the match.
That moment was a magical time for the 18-year-old striker, who headed the ball straight for the Gunners fans to celebrate. His teammate Willock, who was warming up on the sideline at the time, went to congratulate his colleague but was quickly pushed out the way by the starlet – who was obviously enjoying his debut.
A video clip of the incident has gone viral, with Arsenal supporters laughing at both players – and now the young hero has taken to social media – Twitter to apologize. “Still dreaming,” Eddie Nketiah tweeted. “Thanks to all the supporters for the support and ha ha sorry Joe Willock emotions got the better of me [Eddie].”
