Chelsea have allegedly reached an agreement with Serie A champions Juventus to complete the signing of striker Gonzalo Higuain for £53million, according to Italian media reports.
Chelsea set to complete Sarri move
The Blues remain in discussions to appoint Italian coach Maurizio Sarri as manager Antonio Conte’s replacement and the West London club have also moved ahead with their summer activities, despite the managerial uncertainty at the club.
According to Sport Mediaset, Chelsea and Juventus have now agreed to a transfer deal for the Argentina international striker and the move is expected to be completed after the appointment of Sarri.
The report claims that the Chelsea hierarchy still need to complete the Appointment of Maurizio Sarri with SC Napoli’s President Aurelio De Laurentiis but the 59-year-old tactician is still expected to end up at West London.
Prolific goal poacher
Under the guidance Sarri at Serie A side Napoli, Gonzalo Higuain broke Italian Serie A’s goalscoring record in a season with a total of 36 goals in the 2015/16 league season.
Sarri was annoyed by Higuain’s stance to join Turin giants Juventus after his brilliant record-breaking campaign but said he treated the 30-year-old prolific striker like his own Child.
The South American is presently on holiday after his national team was kicked out of the ongoing FIFA World Cup by Les Blues of France on Saturday
