French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) are strongly interested in making a move for Brazilian midfielder Fabinho when the transfer window reopens in January.
This is according to a specific report from trusted French news outlet Le Parisien.
The report also revealed that PSG manager Thomas Tuchel is in the market for a defensive midfielder and Fabinho is one of the players on his shortlist.
Fabinho is familiar with PSG having enjoyed a great rivalry with the French capital club while he was a player of AS Monaco.
He was an integral part of the Monaco squad that reached the semifinals of the Champions League and also won the 2016/17 French Ligue 1 title.
His performances for Monaco earned him an expensive move to Liverpool in the summer but he has found first team opportunities to be limited for him.
The Reds was said to have paid around £40m for his signature during this summer’s transfer window.
Since the start of the season, Fabinho has made just three starts and three substitute appearances in all competitions.
Without him in the first team, the Reds have surged to the joint top of the Premier League table after 26 points from ten league matches.
