According to British media reports, the Merseysider’s are among several sides interested in a transfer deal to land Mexico youngster Hirving Lozano this summer transfer window.
The Daily Star is suggesting that both FC Barcelona and Liverpool have shown an interest in signing the 22-year-old starlet, who has been in great shape for his country at this summer’s FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The same article has quotes from the youngster’s father Jesus, who suggests that Catalan giants Barcelona are amongst the teams keen on landing his son this summer window.
Top class youngster
He was in great shape for the Dutch side last term in the Eredivise, netting 17 goals and providing eight assists in 29 matches in the English top flight for the Dutch side.
The Reds are thought to be in the transfer market for a couple of new recruits this summer window as manager Jurgen Klopp looks to strengthen the team into English League challengers next term.
The Merseyside club ended in fourth position on the log last term and without an honour after having gotten to the UEFA Champions League final last month.
