Antoine Griezmann

Manchester United showed how powerful they are last summer in terms of finance, when, despite not featuring in the Champions League, were still able to attract some of the biggest players in the footballing world.

The Old Trafford club were able to bring in players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and world-record signing Paul Pogba, and as things stands now, it appears more big guys should be expected to arrive this summer.

Earlier this week, rumors heard it that the red devils were trying to sign Monaco star player Kylian Mbappe and has made two offers for him – both of which was reportedly rejected by the Ligue 1 side.

However, Manchester United long time target Antoine Griezmann is back into limelight, as latest reports suggests he is set to join Man United in the summer transfer window.

Griezmann is a versatile player, and he finished third behind Christiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in the race for Ballon d’Or after his impressive performances for both club and country last year.

Manchester Evening News revealed that the 26-year-old star’s move to Manchester United is on the verge of completion.

He has, this season so far in 40 games in all competitions, scored 22 times and has provided 11 assists for his Madrid club.

The France international is obviously one of the best playmakers in the world right now, and if he should eventually move to Old Trafford, will definitely improve Jose Mourinho’s attack.

Even though the Frenchman has a release clause of 100 million euros ( that is $108million) in his contract, it is obvious Manchester United will have no problem meeting the price.
