According to reports, Arsenal have held discussions about the possibility of landing Sampdoria midfielder Dennis Praet this summer transfer window.
Arsenal hold talks with target’s agent
Gianluca Di Marzio, as cited by the Daily Mirror, is claiming that Arsenal have had talks with the player’s agent about a possible transfer to The Emirates Stadium this summer.
The Gunners are thought to be in the transfer market for a couple of new players this summer as new boss Unai Emery prepares for his debut season in charge at the North London club.
And the same report states that Arsenal have had “concrete” discussions with the 24-year-old’s representative about a possible transfer to the club.
As per the same article, the gunners believe that it would be a good bargain if they could land the midfielder for a transfer fee of around £22million.
Arsenal prefer Praet to Pellegrini
It is also suggested that the North Londoner’s see him as a possible alternative to primary transfer target Lorenzo Pellegrini of AS Roma.
The Gunners are bound to be heavily linked with a number of players this summer transfer window as they look to reinforce their team ahead of Unai Emery’s first campaign in charge.
The Spanish tactician was unveiled as the club’s new manager last week after Frenchman Arsene Wenger decided to step aside at the end of the campaign.
