Brazil International midfielder Oscar has said that Chelsea have left the door open for him to return to the West London club one day.
The former Chelsea star said this in an interview with Premier League Brasil when he stated he would be ready to accept the invitation to come back to the Premier League sometime in the future:
“Yes, I would return! I {Oscar] am still young, I am 26 years old. Who knows in 2, 3 years to return to the [English] Premier League …. I [Oscar] will be very delighted. And preferably for Chelsea FC, who opened the doors for me [Oscar] to come back.”
The midfield maestro started off last campaign as the first choice under manager Antonio Conte, but the move to a back three lineup meant the Brazilian did not play in the side beyond cup matches and as a substitute in the Premier League.
Brazilian Oscar made the switch to Shanghai SIPG in the Chinese Super League for £54million in the winter, but he said he could have also made a move to Spanish La Liga side Atletico Madrid instead rather deciding to head to the Far East.
During his five year stint at the West London club, the midfielder played 202 matches for the club, netting 38 goals and making 37 assists.
