Premier League Champions Chelsea have been told the value of Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly, according to a report by Calcio Mercato.
The Italian publication exclusively reports that Italian Serie A giant Napoli would be prepared to cash in on the centre-back for a fee between €60 million and €70 million (£53million-£62million).
The African is a long-term transfer target for the Blues for the past two seasons now, but despite the tempting bids, the ‘stubborn’ Italian Serie A side are yet to come to terms with any offers from Stamford bridge.
The 26-year-old big Senegalese is seen as one of Europe’s best defenders at the moment. So far he has featured in all the minutes for his team this term and has helped the Serie A giant to eight consecutive league triumphs.
The Partenopei currently top the Serie A log and would need the strong defender for the rest of the campaign to achieve their massive dream of winning the Serie A league title for the first time since the 1989-90 League season.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte would certainly love Koulibaly at the Bridge, but it will have to be seen maybe next summer whether Serie A giant Napoli still want to cash in.
