Chelsea defender David Luiz has recuperated from the suspected knee injury he sustained last week Friday and looks ready to battle for his place in Antonio Conte’s starting line up.
The Center-half was dropped by the Italian tactician in Chelsea’s important 1-0 victory over rivals Manchester United in the last English Premier League clash before last weekend’s international break, with the tactician saying the Brazil international defender needed to battle hard for his position in the squad.
Denmark international defender Andreas Christensen has been a preferred choice to the Brazilian, and the young defender did not disappoint Antonio Conte.
David Luiz, thereafter, was handed a chance to train with the rest of the Chelsea squad that were not invited to national team duties and he reportedly sustained his knee knock, as reported by the Mirror.
The former Paris Saint-German centre-half has now recovered in time to battle for his position in the Chelsea squad as they continue to get ready for their away trip to the Hawthorns to lock horns with West Bromwich Albion.

A video clip posted by Chelsea’s official handle on Twitter showed David Luiz heavily involved in training.
The reigning champions head to West Brom on Saturday afternoon with the Brazilian international well rested for 2 weeks after not getting an invite from his Nation during the FIFA international break.
