David Ginola believes Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s return could cause some little negative issues at Manchester United.
Manager Jose Mourinho recently confirmed Ibrahimovic is now back from his injury and will make his first-team comeback before the end of the year.
The former Barcelona striker was Manchester United’s top goal scorer last season, but a cruciate knee ligament injury cut short his first season at the club.
And speaking recently about the 36-year-old, Ginola insists Zlatan blocked Edison Cavani from expressing himself fully when both were still at PSG.
According to Ginola, the Swede legend ‘cast such a shadow’ over the Uruguayan, which made Cavani suffered from a lack of confidence. And he believes same fate could befall Romelu Lukaku at Manchester United.
Ginola also drew attention to what happened at Man United last season when Zlatan was still very much fit. He insists the Swedish player was surrounded by youngsters like Rashford and Martial who couldn’t have much say
‘Cavani was relieved when [Ibrahimovic] left PSG.’ David told Talksport.
Although Mourinho is happy to welcome Ibrahimovic back into his team, many are wondering who will become the main man upfront in his starting eleven.
However, the Portuguese tactician recently said both players – Ibrahimovic and Lukaku – can play together, as, according to him, both of them are good and quality players.
