According to reports, Arsenal have submitted an offer to try and land wonderkid Aymen Barkok from Eintracht Frankfurt this summer transfer window.
Barkok, 19, despite only playing 19 Bundesliga matches for his club last campaign is being tipped as a hot prospect for the future.
According to German news outlet Spox, Arsene Wenger has been trailing the starlet for some time now, and that the Gunners have offered a fee of around €10m for the midfielder.
However, the German club are believed to have rejected the bid and are willing to keep the youngster, who still has three seasons left on his contract, according to Daily Star.
The Germany Under-19 star scored once in three appearances at the recently concluded European Championships and is not believed to be considering his future at this point.
Monaco winger Thomas Lemar look sure to be heading to Arsenal this summer.
Arsenal are said to be set to submit a third offer of about £45m for the Frenchman, with Monaco more than likely to accept that offer.
Arsenal have already signed Sead Kolasinac and spent a record fee on France international Alexandre Lacazette as they look to overturn what was a woeful 2016-17 season, saved slightly by their late FA Cup win.
