Antonio Conte Could Move To Barcelona, Replacement Already Dining With Abramovich In London

After a disappointing campaign last season that saw Chelsea firing Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho before the season ended, the West London club brought in former Juventus manager Atonio Conte to take over the mantle of leadership at the club. The former Italy head coach signed a three-year contract that is worth around £6.5million a year at Chelsea.

The Italian boss has been so impressive at the club and is on his way to winning the premier league title and the FA Cup double in his first campaign at the club and in England.

However, the manager has refused to rule out leaving the West London club as this season approaches it end.

According to Express Sport, the Italian manager has emerged as the No 1 target to replace Barcelona’s Luis Enrique who is bound to leave at the end of this current campaign.

Apart from being shockingly linked with Barcelona, Conte has been initially linked with making a move back to his country to join Inter Milan who are set to splash money after a change of ownership.

However, despite Chelsea fans not desiring Conte to leave the club so soon, it appears Russian billionaire club owner Roman Abramovich is planning for a Plan B should in case the Italian boss choose to leave.

It has been revealed that the billionaire has been hosting his close friend Leonid Slutsky, and the former CSKA Moscow manager has even taken up residence at the Chelsea hotel ever since he left the Russian club in December.

Leonid has been close friend with Roman for sometime now, and the manager has spent most of his time in London since January, and has also been learning English while regularly present at Chelsea’s games and trainings.
