Chelsea close in on Announcing new boss
According to Italian media reports, incoming Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri wants to bring in midfielder Matias Vecino from Inter Milan as his first signing at Stamford Bridge.
Sky Sport Italia, as cited by Football Italia, is claiming that the incoming boss has already named one of his top transfer targets should he get the Stamford Bridge job.
Sarri, 58, has been strongly linked with the Chelsea managerial job considering manager Antonio Conte’s time at the club appears to be ending.
The same reports says that Sarri is keen on a potential transfer deal to land the 26-year-old from Serie A giants Inter Milan in the present transfer window.
New boss wants South American
As per the same report, the Italian tactician is already excited about the prospect of bringing in the Uruguay international midfielder.
The midfielder netted three goals in 29 matches across all competitions during his debut campaign at the San Siro club.
The player spent three years at Fiorentina before the midfielder moved to the Serie A club in a €24million move.
The South American signed a five-year contract with Inter Milan.
The Blues finished in the fifth position on the English Premier League log last term to miss out on a spot in the UEFA Champions League for the second period in three years.
