Former European Champions Chelsea have opened informal talks with Nabil Fekir in their quest to sign him in the New Year.
According to popular French media outlet L’Equipe, Chelsea have sent Super Agent Pini Zahavi to initiate formal talks with the Lyon star.
It was revealed that Chelsea are the favourites to sign the 25-year-old but a January exit might not be on the cards for now.
This was attributed to the change of agent on the part of the player with the report claiming that it would be concluded by April thus paving the way for the Blues to make a transfer bid for her in the summer.

Lyon and Liverpool had agreed to a £53m transfer for him before the Reds pulled out of the deal due to concerns about his knee.
