According to reports, Liverpool are closing in on sealing a summer transfer for Hull City’s Andrew Robertson in a £8 million deal.
Daily Mail reported that the Reds are ready to complete the signing of Hull City’s Andrew Robertson in a contract worth £8 million. The Scottish international’s signing will see Liverpool complete their third summer transfer in this window.
The Scottish progressed through the ranks at Queen’s Park in Scotland before making his first senior debut for the club back in 2012. After a year with the first-team, a season-long spell with Scottish side Dundee United followed after which he joined Hull City in 2014.
The last three football seasons have been rough, for Hull City, as they’ve been relegated from the top flight twice while gaining promotion back in the 2015/16 season. Despite the ups and downs, he has been one of the best players for the Tigers, consistently performing at an optimum level.
Over the last three years, he has played over 100 matches for Hull City, influencing matches all around the pitch. During this period, Robertson also became a regular for the Scotland national men football team, with 15 senior games to his name.
Robertson’s time at Hull City, though, is likely to come to an end this summer transfer window, as the Reds have been trailing him recently, with manager Jurgen Klopp desperate to sign a left-back.
