Chelsea are yet to make a major signing this summer, and we all thought Everton star player Romelu Lukaku will be the one. But we could be wrong!
The premier league champions are close to signing their first player of the summer transfer window and it is not Lukaku, but an Argentine….
A player that appeared 17 times for Manchester City in the just concluded Premier League season!
No, not Sergio Aguero, but Willy Caballero!
The goalkeeper will cover for Thibaut Courtois following Asmir Begovic’s move to Bournemouth earlier on.

The Argentine goalie ended the season as City’s first choice shot-stopper following Claudio Bravo’s injury, and he is part of those Guardiola is allowing to leave. Man City have also moved in to splash the cash on Benfica’s Ederson.
Even though Boca Juniors made an inquiry for the goalkeeper, the 35-year-old is said to be on his way to Chelsea on a free transfer.
Willy Caballero was a popular figure at Manchester City and it’s surprising why Guardiola could allow him to leave on a free transfer. Under Manuel Pellegrini in 2016, he helped won the League Cup with penalty saves against Liverpool.
