Arsenal have warned Alexis Sanchez that he will not be allowed to join any of their Premier League rivals this summer amid intense speculation over his future.
The 28-year-old has refused to renew his current deal at the Emirates, hinting at a potential move away this summer much to the dismay of Arsene Wenger who has been criticised in the past for allowing his top players leave to join their rivals in the Premier League.
Manchester City are believed to be nearing a summer move for Sanchez and have even agreed to personal terms with the attacker.
Reports in the Daily Mail suggest that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen on holding on to the Chilean and tie him to a new deal despite ongoing reports that a host of clubs is vying for the player’s signature.
The Gunners are at the risk of losing Sanchez on a free next summer if they fail on tieing him to a new deal, leaving the player with an opportunity to negotiate with any club of his choice.
German giants, Bayern Munich have also been credited with a serious intent to sign Sanchez this summer but are being pegged back by the player’s wage demands while Manchester City are ready to pay all fees involved but the Gunners will not sell to an English rival.
