Chelsea on-loan striker Loic Remy has suffered another injury blow according to English media Evening Standard.
Remy moved to Selhurst Park on a season-long loan to gain playing time, after new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte sees him as a surplus to the requirement in the Blues team.
The 29-year old forward earlier suffered a thigh injury, nine days into his spell at Selhurst Park and returned to Stamford Bridge for treatment. Since his move to Selhurst Park, the French forward is yet to feature for the Eagles.
Speaking in a press briefing, Alan Pardew confirmed the injury suffered by Remy.
“Loic has picked up a different injury. It’s the calf [this time]. That’s a disappointment,”said Pardew.
The Eagles have struggled for form this season as they currently lie on the 16th position on the EPL table.
Though summer signing Christian Benteke has struggled for goals this season, Pardew however insisted their problem is not goal going.
“Our problem is not scoring goals, which is the hardest thing at this level. We need to stop conceding, particularly the first goal.
“We still think we can get a high finish in this division, but we need to get points on the board.”
The Eagles will be without Remy tomorrow, as they take a short trip to Liberty Stadium to take on Swansea in an EPL clash.
