According to reports in Germany today, Chelsea could make a shock transfer move to attempt to re-sign Thorgan Hazard from German side Borussia Monchengladbach.
German publication Bild, as cited by Metro, is claiming that Chelsea are showing a “strong” interest in attempting to sign Thorgan Hazard back to the West London outfit.
Thorgan, 24, who is Eden Hazard’s little brother, spent three seasons at the Bridge but failed to seal a regular spot before being offloaded to the German club back in 2015.
However, the same outfit state that the Blues are keen on re-signing the attacker and have placed the Belgium international on their wish-list this transfer window.
The youngster has been in superb form for the Bundesliga side so far this campaign and has netted six goals and provided three assists in 17 German Bundesliga matches so far this season.
Meanwhile, Antonio Conte’s side completed their first January signing last week when they signed England midfielder Ross Barkley from Merseyside club Everton.
Chelsea are now getting prepared for the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final match against rivals Arsenal at Stamford Bridge Tonight.
The Blues played out a disappointing goalless draw in the FA Cup fixture with Norwich on Saturday.
