It would seem like Manchester United have been handed a major boost as Premier League Champions Chelsea have softened their interest in their £60million transfer target.
Considering this could be a possible solution for manager Jose Mourinho in a troubled department of his team with major doubts at left-back position, signing Juventus full-back Alex Sandro could address the situation.
As per The Telegraph, the Blues have been totally put off by the player’s £60million valuation; with Manchester United, league leaders Manchester City and French giants Paris Saint-Germain all named as other alternatives.
The figure, In truth, seems too much for Sandro, as although the defender has impressed in Italy and been a consistent figure of their squad under manager Massimiliano Allegri, the fee is going to be too expensive to lure him away from Juventus and the question of if it’s worth the investment is raised.
Notwithstanding, most of United’s transfer targets are going to come with high price tags, and so it will possibly go down to the manager to make his transfer need case as to if he wants Alex Sandro in his team.
Should a move eventually materialise it will be a huge disappointment for defender Luke Shaw who has returned to the starting line-up recently.
