Chelsea will face a tricky Premier League clash with South Coast club Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup quarterfinals.

The Blues found out about their last eight opponents when the draw was held on Wednesday night.

The former winners had earlier booked their spot in the quarterfinals with a slim 3-2 home victory over second-tier side Derby County managed by club legend Frank Lampard.

The former England midfielder is Chelsea’s record goalscorer with 211 goals in all competitions.

Chelsea took a 5th-minute lead courtesy an own goal from Derby County defender Fikayo Tomori who’s on loan from the Blues.

The visitors drew level four minutes through Jack Marriott before another own goal from a Derby County player gave the West London club a 2-1 lead.

Richard Keogh was credited with the 21st-minute own goal.

The lead lasted for five minutes before Martyn Waghorn equalised for the Rams for the second time in the first half.

Chelsea had the last laugh with the third goal from Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas in the 41st minute.

The Blues were able to preserve the lead in the second half to seal a last eight place.

In the other quarter-final ties, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur will face each other in a North London Derby clash at the Emirates Stadium, while only Championship side left in the competition, Middlesbrough do battle with League One side Burton Albion at home.

In the last quarterfinal fixture, defending champions Manchester City will be guests of the winner of the fourth round clash between Leicester City and Southampton if they can navigate through their own fourth-round meeting with Fulham on Thursday night.
