Arsenal manager Unai Emery has hinted that he is ready to continue with the club’s rivalry with Tottenham after his side were drawn in the Carabao Cup.
After the 2-1 win against Blackpool the North London club got a draw against Tottenham, a long term rival with a new manager who arrived in the summer.
Emery made it clear that he has he is aware of the rivalry between both clubs and he is ready to do his research to approach the game ahead.
The Arsenal boss noted with or without the Carabao Cup his side will definitely play Spurs in the Premier League which to him is important to win as he hopes the game is played in the Emirates Stadium before the supporters.
Arsenal have a number of titles to challenge for this season including the FA Cup and the Europa League Cup and Unai Emery will be hoping to at least deliver a trophy in his first season in charge of the North London team.
Meanwhile, he has been handed the mandate to qualify for next year’s Champions League which makes a top four finish in the Premier League mandatory or winning the Europa League as an automatic qualification.
