Manchester United Set To Sign Matthijs de Ligt

However, Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt has been recently linked with a move to Manchester United ahead of the January transfer window.

It was made known that the Old Trafford club are one of the top European sides who have made an offer for the talented defender.

Matthijs, just 18-year-old, has evolved into a first-team regular at Ajax.

The Dutch player has played 20 times for Ajax this season so far and has scored two goals with one assist.

The report added that some other top European clubs are interested in getting his signature as well, since his impressive performances at the Netherlands club have caught the attention of many.

It was also said that the club won’t mind selling him next year, but will only allow him leave for a fee worth €50 Million.
