Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has urged his side to do what they can to keep key pair Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard down to new deals amid fears over the duo’s future at the Bridge.
Don Balon in a report recently linked the Belgian with a possible move to Real Madrid once again, with the latest report being that they could offer Wales international Gareth Bale to Premier League Champions Chelsea as part of the transfer deal.
Another report by Don Balon stated that Real Madrid could turn their focus towards signing Belgium international goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois in goal due to a recent turn down from Manchester United safe hand David de Gea.
Courtois’ contract situation may be the most disturbing, with the Belgian goalie current deal due to run out in 2019, though the shot-stopper was recently cited in the Metro stating he is not going to discuss a new contract this season.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte surely wants this whole contract saga resolved as he stated the importance of new deals for the Belgian duo.
Conte is cited in the Daily Express ‘Yes, I [Antonio Conte] want them [Hazard & Courtois] to sign new contracts. They are two great footballers’.
