Merseyside giants Everton have reportedly made a big bid for young AS Roma winger Cengiz Under as they try to sign a goalscoring forward during this summer’s transfer window.

The Everton bid for Cengiz Under was confirmed by the publication from the stables of the Daily Star.

It was revealed that the Toffees have made a £24m bid for Cengiz Under.

Turkish international Under has been an important player for AS Roma since the player joined the Italian capital club from Turkish Super Lig outfit Istanbul Basaksehir in the summer of 2017.

The 21-year-old scored three goals and also weighed in with seven assists in 26 games during the just concluded Italian Serie A season.

He also scored three goals in six Champions League games this season.

In total, Cengiz Under scored six goals and also provided seven assists in 33 games in all competitions during the just concluded campaign.

Under has previously been linked with Premier League giants Chelsea as a potential replacement for Eden Hazard who’s expected to join Spanish La Liga club Real Madrid this summer.

Eden Hazard has one year left on his Chelsea contract and the Belgian might have played his last game for the club during the Europa League final.

He scored twice and also had one assist in the 4-1 thrashing of Arsenal in the final of the Europa League.
