He has shown green light he’s interested in Man United: Mourinho to get Carrick’s replacement

Jose Mourinho is a coach that loves having strong reliable defensive midfielders in his team. And since his arrival at Manchester United, he is searching for a solid defensive midfielder. And one strong defensive midfielder that is constantly linked with a move to the Old Trafford club is French international and Monaco star Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Bakayoko has been on United’s wanted list for a long time now.

It seems the Frenchman himself is having thoughts about coming to England because few days ago, it was reported that the 22-year-old star is interested in joining Man United, but on one condition: They must qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Presently, the Mirror reported that United are ready to step up their interest in signing Bakayoko.

He is one of the best defensive midfielders around and Jose Mourinho really wants him in. He will also be the perfect long-term replacement for veteran star Micheal Carrick.

It was also added that even though the Frenchman is rated around £40 million, his French club want at least 60 million euros for him. This season so far  in 41 games for the Ligue I giants, he had scored three times and has also provided an assist – although his primary job is to stop opponents looming towards goal.

He played a vital role in Monaco’s domination of the French league table as they look set to lifting the trophy with just eight matches to go.
