Carragher Questions Loan Move For Nathaniel Clyne

Ex-Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has questioned club manager Jurgen Klopp over his decision to let Nathaniel Clyne leave the club for Bournemouth earlier this month.

Reds legend and Sky Sports pundit Carragher couldn’t explain why Liverpool defender Clyne left the club for the Cherries in the middle of a Premier League title challenge.

Carragher was full of praise of Clyne who was outstanding for Liverpool during the 3-1 home win over Manchester United earlier in the season in what was his last Premier League start for the Reds.

Jamie Carragher thinks Klopp could have retained his experience in his team rather than sanction his exit.

Nathaniel Clyne has joined the South Coast club on a short-term loan until the end of the season.

The England international right-back was keen to leave the club in search of more first team opportunities.

He lost his place in the Liverpool team after a lengthy injury layoff which saw him miss the majority of the last campaign.

Nathaniel Clyne has lost his place to compatriot Trent Alexander-Arnold in the Liverpool XI and that played a major role in his exit temporarily.

Bournemouth have improved their injury-hit defense with the loan acquisition of Clyne who made his debut in last weekend’s FA Cup home loss to Brighton and Hove Albion.
