Arsenal have agreed to sign Schalke defender Sead Kolasinac on a free transfer, according to reports.
The Bosnia international has been tipped to leave the Bundesliga following his refusal to sign an extension with Schalke, sparking interest from several clubs in Europe but it appears Arsenal have acted faster than their rivals by sealing deal with the 23-year-old ahead of the summer transfer window.
Reports in BIHscout.ba claim that Kolasinac has signed a pre-agreement with the Gunners and will move to the Emirates at the end of the season despite keen interest from Everton, Liverpool and Manchester City.
Despite speculation over Arsene Wenger, the Gunners boss admitted to have started preparing for next season amid sugestions that he wants to leave the club after failing to sign a new contract at the Emirates.
This news might the end of Kieran Gibbs’ career at the Emirates, having failed to nail a starting place this season and have played under the shadow of Nacho Monreal who has not been convincing this season.
Monreal has also been tipped to seek a move away from Arsenal next summer with reports that Atletico Bilbao are interested in signing him, while Gibbs have been monitored by Crystal Palace.
