Arsenal set to finalize deal for £90,000-a-week star says Sky sports

Fabrizio Romano made it known that Arsenal are ready to sign Lucas Torreira and will also bring in another defender any moment from now.

After Arsene Wenger left the Emirates Stadium last month, the management took their time before confirming Unai Emery as their new boss. They have since started off the summer with a lot of transfer activity to ensure they adequately challenge other top sides in the premier league when next season comes.

After completing deals for the duo of Stephan Lichtsteiner and Bernd Leno, the gunners are still determined to add more power to their side ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.

Borussia Dortmund defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos has been heavily linked with a move away from his club after he emerged as a target for Arsenal this summer transfer window.

The defender earns £90,000 each week at Dortmund, but is set for an upgrade in his career with a move to North London to replace Laurent Koscielny at the Emirates Stadium.

And Sky Sports reporter Romano is insisting that Arsenal will finalise a deal for the 29-year-old alongside Lucas Torreira.

He revealed that Lucas will have a medical with the London club soon and that the deal is already completed. This will come alongside a deal for Papastathopoulous, according to Romano.
