Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata says he is seriously looking ahead to next campaign despite claims he is looking to depart Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea forward set to stay
The Spain international striker joined the Premier League giants last summer transfer window for a club transfer record £58million, possibly rising to £70million.
And the striker made a bright start to life at Chelsea with a total of seven goals in his first eight Premier League matches.
But his shape dipped gradually over the season and went 13 matches without finding the net.
By the conclusion of the campaign, the Spaniard had lost his spot in the first-team squad to winter arrival of France international forward Olivier Giroud and missed out on a spot in Spain’s FIFA World Cup team.
Morata to join Chelsea Pre-season
It means the former Real Madrid striker is expected to join the Chelsea team from the very beginning of pre-season and it seems the forward is ready to get started.
In a recent post on social media site Instagram, the forward published a photo of himself blowing kisses to Blues fans.
Alvaro Morata’s ex-club Juventus and Real Madrid have been heavily linked with re-signing the forward.
But one side the striker won’t be joining is Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund after he was thought to be too expensive for the German club.
