Arsenal legend rejects the return of United flop

The chances of Chile international Alexis Sanchez to return to the North London outfit Arsenal from Man United have been blocked by the club legend Ray Parlour ahead of the coming season.

Alexis Sanchez was a wonder player at the Emirates Stadium only to leave the club for a move to Man United to become a flop with no meaningful contribution to the Red Devils team.

It would be recalled that the Gunners paid £30 million to bring Alexis Sanchez to North London from Barcelona in 2014 where he scored 80 goals in 166 games and became one of the Premier League’s most feared attackers.

The same can not be said of the Chile international as he scored only two goals in 27 games in the 2018/19 campaign after his 2018 move as part of a swap deal with Henrikh Mkhitaryan to the Old Trafford.

Now that he is speculated to be part of those that would be shown the way out by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Alexis Sanchez has been linked to returning but the Arsenal legend said it would not happen because former Barcelona man is a flop already.

Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is therefore keen to send Alexis Sanchez out of the club and would also consider a loan deal that will have his team pay part of his wages while away from the club.

Meanwhile, United management seems to have big faith in the former Arsenal player and will seek to stop his move, according to reports.
