The representatives of Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho are reportedly pushing for an exit from the club for the player.
According to the Independent, Brazilian international star, Coutinho could leave the club this year with his camp holding out for a transfer out of Barcelona.
Former Inter Milan playmaker Coutinho has been the subject of intense transfer speculation dating back to last month after the Brazilian lost his spot in the Barcelona starting XI under the guidance of manager Ernesto Valverde.
Barcelona officials are keeping their cool over the transfer rumours with them still holding out hope that Coutinho will fulfill their expectations of him.
The 26-year-old is seen as the long-term replacement for Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta.
He has a Barcelona contract that does not run out until the end of the 2022/23 season.
Coutinho signed a five-and-a-half-year deal with Barcelona on joining the club from Premier League leaders Liverpool in a £142m deal.
With the transfer, Philippe Coutinho is the third most expensive transfer of all time behind the Paris Saint Germain (PSG) duo of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
Coutinho has scored four goals in just 10 starts in the Spanish La Liga since the start of the season.
