PSG star Mbappe makes big Arsenal claim

Paris Saint Germain star Kylian Mbappe has made a surprising claim about joining North London club Arsenal sometimes back.

The French international made this revelation when he won the Kopa trophy, picking up the award a s the best young player in the world for that particular year.

Mbappe is obviously one of the best young players in the world who has made lots of impact for both his club and his country.

The PSG star was instrumental in helping his France national team win the World Cup, as well as scoring plenty of goals for the French Ligue 1 side since his move from Monaco.

Speaking with France Football after his Kopa win, Mbappe revealed that he almost became a Gunner when former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was in charge.

According to him, he had his mind on Arsenal because of the former French boss whom he describes as an inspiration to French football.

He noted that Wenger is the man that is known and respected by football followers in the French countryside.

Mbappe stated that he only arrived the French side by fate and it has been a good experience.

Meanwhile, Wenger has since left the job as Gunners boss after 22-years in charge.
