Betting Preview: Liverpool vs Burnley: Home Win On The Cards

Five-time European champions Liverpool would be ready to capitalise on a possible slip-up from league leaders Manchester City when they take on Burnley at Anfield on Sunday.

The Reds could be four points adrift of Manchester City by the time they face the Clarets in their Premier League clash.

Liverpool were the top spot recipient until last weekend when Manchester City capitalised on their result against Everton in their Merseyside Derby clash last weekend.

The Reds played out a goalless draw with Everton at Goodison Park when a win could have kept them at the top of the Premier League table.

Manchester City had claimed top spot with their 1-0 win away from home against Bournemouth.

Liverpool have handed Manchester City the initiative in the race for the Premier League table with a run of three draws and just one win from four games.

Manchester City have a one-point lead over the Reds with nine games left to play between now and the rest of the season.

Liverpool will start as heavy favourites against the Clarets at the odds of 1.18 according to Nairabet while an unlikely stalemate is at the odds of 8.80.

A more unlikely outcome of Burnley win is at the odds of 16.75.
